Retreat for LGBTI, Friends and Family Affected by Suicide

Have you or your close circle been affected by a suicide death? If you have then this may be of interest to you? This retreat is for LGBTI, family and friends and there are limited spaces available so get in early to secure your place.

What’s it about?  A residential weekend of small group workshops using creative arts therapy that offer you an opportunity to explore your lived experience of trying to work through your grief.

Background  A new research project being conducted by Hobart researcher Helen Scarr, exploring how suicide grief affects families;  part of a Professional Doctorate undertaken through Melbourne Institute for Experiential and Creative Arts Therapy (MIECAT).

You’re not artistic?  No special artistic skill needed.  You already have all the skills you need.

When is it?  Friday 3rd (night), Saturday 4th , Sunday 5th, October 2014.

TasCAHRD and Working It Out secure aged care training funds

TasCAHRD and Working It Out are very excited to announce a new partnership to deliver a national Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex Aged Care Awareness Training project in Tasmania. This training will be delivered to the aged care sector over the next three years.
